YVES KLEIN RESEARCH GRANT

Launched in 2026, the Yves Klein Foundation’s Research Grants programme aims to revitalize scholarship on the artist, encourage exploration of his work and creative legacy, and highlight its relevance to contemporary issues.

This biannual programme is open to researchers of any nationality and from any country of residence, aged under 35, who hold a PhD or are at postdoctoral level and are conducting research in art history, aesthetics or the humanities.

Selected on the basis of their application by a jury composed of four art-world professionals, as well as the Director of the Yves Klein Foundation, the grantee will benefit from a one-week residency to receive support for their research and will receive an award of CHF 6,000. Within a maximum of six months after the end of the residency, the grantee will submit a text of approximately 30,000 characters.

Each applicant will receive an email informing them of the jury’s decision on 8 February 2027.

The residency dates will be as follows:
Grant # 02: Spring 2027 – no later than the first half of June
Grant # 03: Autumn 2027 – no later than the first half of December – exact dates to be agreed with the successful applicant.
