FELLOWSHIP AT THE YOUNG ACADEMY FOR SUSTAINABILITY RESEARCH

The Young Academy for Sustainability Research (YAS) seeks to foster cross-disciplinary cooperation between distinguished young scholars in the field of sustainability research. The Academy’s objective is to provide an institutional structure that will enable early-career researchers to foster multidisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, to start collaborative projects, and to engage with the general public. The Young Academy is self-organised by its members, with support by the FRIAS team.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant ┋Research Project "Operation Pangolin: Unifying Diverse Data Streams to Redefine Species Conservation"

The overexploitation of wildlife is a key threat to biodiversity, exemplified by pangolins. The University of Oxford is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant to play a key role in the multi-year international research project, “Operation Pangolin: Unifying Diverse Data Streams to Redefine Species Conservation.” The postholder will be an experienced social scientist, with expertise in conducting fieldwork and data analysis to understand social-ecological systems, including institutional arrangements.

Institute for Ethics in AI Visiting Fellowship

The Institute for Ethics in AI at the University of Oxford proposes to elect three Visiting Fellows for the academic year 2024-25. The Visiting Fellowship is intended to offer an established scholar or practitioner in an AI-related field the opportunity to engage in a project related to the ethics of Artificial Intelligence. The length of tenure of the fellowship is one academic term (three months). Applications are encouraged from candidates from all countries and all universities.
