Apply for the 2026-2027 Fellowships

The Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance invites applications for postdoctoral research associates from individuals with a Ph.D. degree or who expect to receive a Ph.D. degree by July 1, 2026, for the 2026-2027 academic year. These awards are designed to promote basic research in the broad areas of international and comparative political economy, international organization and global governance. Research on the causes and consequences of globalization, the political economy of international trade and finance; monetary and regulatory policies; cooperation at the global and regional level; the domestic and international politics of economic development; the political economy of human security; the evolution and impact of international institutions; and the politics of international law and human rights policies are of relevance.

 Outstanding scholars anywhere in the world are eligible to apply. NCGG invites candidates with a background in political science, economics, modern history, sociology, anthropology, law, business, and other disciplines bearing on the study of globalization to apply. The postdoctoral researchers are expected to fulfill responsibilities relating to in-person participation in regular events, office hours, and related activities for the duration of the fellowship (July 1, 2026- July 1, 2027). Appointments are for one year.
