Tomás y Valiente UAM MOTyVES

The MOTyVES programme is based on the university’s own Tomás y Valiente contract scheme, which was launched in the 2017–18 academic year. This in-house programme aimed to boost the recruitment of talent in the broad fields of the Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, including Economics and Business, Psychology and Nursing, Education, Law, Political Science and the disciplines comprising the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts.

The MOTyVES programme also focuses on those fields of knowledge that make up the Social and Legal Sciences and the Humanities. The scope of the MOTyVES programme, however, extends beyond the Tomás y Valiente programme. This call for applications seeks to attract academics who dare to go beyond current knowledge, who cross the boundaries of their disciplines in pursuit of interdisciplinary knowledge, who help to strengthen European values or to understand the social challenges affecting our societies, and who consider how to tackle these complex social challenges.

Profile: PhD holders who obtained their doctoral degree between 3 and 10 years prior to the last day of 2026, subject to the eligibility conditions and extensions set out in the call.

Duration: 3 years (renewable for an additional 2 years)

Number of contracts offered: 3
