ABOUT THE FELLOWSHIP
This is a two-year post-doctoral fellowship, intended to provide a forum for outstanding recent PhDs to develop their research projects. No teaching is required, although applicants interested in taking on teaching responsibilities during their time here can be accommodated. The term of the position starts in September 2026, but the exact start date is flexible, due to possible delays in immigration paperwork. Salary is 180,000 RMB annually (well above the median income in the area); health insurance included. Additional funding opportunities are available to postdocs, and the department will help fellows identify and apply for these. Fellows who develop an impressive publication record during their fellowship are occasionally offered full-time positions at the end of the fellowship.
APPLICANTS
Applicants should have a well-developed research project, which they will pursue during the course of the fellowship at Wuhan University. Publication in major international journals is expected. Please be aware that this position will involve relocation to mainland China, so applicants must be both able and willing to reside in China for the duration of the fellowship. Due to unfortunate requirements tied to university postdoc funding, applicants must be under the age of 35 by September 2026.
