Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Representatives

The Study Foundation was established by the Berlin House of Representatives in 1994 as a late sign of gratitude to the Allied Forces who occupied, befriended, and protected Berlin and its citizens for almost fifty years after the end of World War II.

Because of the impending loss of social and cultural contact that would inevitably occur after the withdrawal of the Allies, the representatives of Berlin created the Study Foundation to sustain and develop contact with France, Great Britain, the United States of America, Russia and other successor states of the Soviet Union.
