Mellon Foundation Post-doctoral Fellowships at 9/11 Memorial & Museum

In Fall 2017, the 9/11 Memorial Museum will award two Andrew W. Mellon Foundation post-doctoral fellowships to qualified candidates whose scholarly work reflects an engagement with issues related to or emerging from the 9/11 attacks. Eligible fields of study include: American studies, anthropology, architectural history, area studies, art history, cultural studies, education, history, intelligence studies, international relations, literature, memory studies, military history, museum studies, performance studies, political science, psychology, religion, sociology, or related fields.

Lehigh University Postdoctoral Fellowship in Latin American Studies

The Latin American Studies Program at Lehigh University invites Ph.D.’s specializing in Latin American or Latino studies, with a contemporary cultural studies focus, to apply for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship, beginning Fall 2017.

Applications are welcome from candidates whose research concentrates in any of the following areas: social movements, identity (gender, ethnic, religious, etc.), transnational migration, and/or urbanization. Candidates working within the fields of Religion and Theater/Performance Studies are especially welcome to apply.

Elizabeth and Cecil Kent Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the History of Britain and the British World

The Department of History at the University of Saskatchewan is pleased to invite applications from qualified early career scholars for the Elizabeth and Cecil Kent Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the History of Britain and the British world. This Fellowship is tenable for two years, commencing September 1, 2017. Recent Fellowship winners (2012 and 2014) have gone on to tenure-stream positions at universities in Canada and the USA.

Fellowship "Revolutions in Historical Perspective" at Ohio State University

The OSU Center for Historical Research will present a two-year program (2017-2019) devoted to a broad exploration of the theme of "Revolutions". From the ancient world to the Arab Spring, revolutions have shaped human experience in profound ways. Our two-year program is  organized around four broad topics: categories of revolutions; origins of revolutions; the processes and experience of revolutions; and outcomes of revolutions. It will feature a series of seminars, workshops, and lectures by leading scholars from the U.S.
