The Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program at Indiana University’s new center for scholarly and cultural exchange with Israel, the Olamot Center, welcomes applications for a Visiting Scholar position for the Spring semester, 2020. Founded in 2017, the Olamot Center aims to realize the substantial potential for scholarly dialogue and collaboration with scholars in Israeli institutions of higher learning by offering Israeli scholars an opportunity to teach and conduct research in one of the largest and oldest Jewish Studies Programs in North America.

Following a review, we have decided to close this scheme. The final application deadline is 11 July 2019.

Who can apply

You can apply for a Small Grant if you’re a humanities and social science researcher who wants to do one or more of the following:

This scheme supports postdoctoral researchers in health-related humanities and social sciences who do not hold established academic posts.

Who can apply

You can apply for a Research Fellowship if you’re a postdoctoral researcher who wants to carry out an extended period of research on your own project.

You must not have a permanent contract, or a contract that will last longer than this fellowship.

The Byzantine Studies Research Center at Bogazici University invites applications for a post-doctoral research position in the field of Byzantine history, art history, and archaeology. Conceived in the framework of expanding the scholarly activities of the Byzantine Studies Research Center, the nine-month position is expected to start in September 2017. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to the development of the Byzantine Studies Research Center, as well as taking part in the activities of the Center.
