Tampere IAS Research Fellowships

The Tampere Institute for Advanced Study offers three types of researcher positions:

  • Postdoctoral Research Fellow
  • Senior Research Fellow
  • Professorial Research Fellow*

On 4 February-3 March 2025, the Tampere IAS will call for applications for nine (9) two-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowships and for six (6) three-year Senior Research Fellowships.

*Decisions about making Professorial Research Fellowships available will be made later.

Postdoc fellowships in Global History and Governance

The Scuola Superiore Meridionale, Naples (Italy), invites applications for four one year (renewable for up to three years) postdoc fellowships in Global History and Governance for the academic year 2022-2023.

The program

Applicants should submit research projects characterized by a comparative and/or global historical and/or legal perspective on one or more of the following themes in modern and contemporary history:

Beauford Delaney┋Villa Albertine Research Grant

Villa Albertine and the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (INHA- French National Institute of Art History),France’s premier   art history institution s created in 2001 with the mission of  supporting academic research and international cooperation in the realm of art, are partnering to offer the Beauford Delany Research Grant with the support of the Ford Foundation (United States).

Collegium Helveticum Senior Fellowships

Depending on the length of their visiting position, senior fellows spend between three and ten months at the Collegium. During their fellowship, senior fellows contribute to the academic and artistic program by convening an event to engage in exchange around their work and make new connections in Zurich and beyond. Please note that a guest appointment at one of the three supporting universities is required. In the case of a successful application, your sponsor will remain the lead host of your stay, and your host institution will assist you in securing a work permit.

British Academy International Fellowships

The International Fellowships programme provides support for outstanding early career researchers to make a first step towards developing an independent research career through gaining experience across international borders. Each award is expected to involve a specific and protected research focus with the award holder undertaking high quality, original research.

This scheme is jointly run by the British Academy and the Royal Society.
