Fondazione 1563 per l’Arte e la Cultura della Compagnia di San Paolo (hereinafter “Fondazione 1563”) has since 2013 supported research and advanced training in the field of the humanities.
In a wider effort to pursue this goal, in 2020 Fondazione 1563 has launched the Turin Humanities Programme, a research initiative that allows junior scholars to work on interrelated research projects under the guidance of especially appointed Senior Fellows.
RESEARCH PROJECT
The status of the European Leviathan is in doubt today as never before. Whether in the form of authoritarian governments or populist agitation, there is intense contention over what the role, size, and scope of the state in the 21st century should be. What can a historical account tell us about the European Leviathan then and now? What holds our European community together?
The Hoover Institution at Stanford University seeks outstanding scholars for positions as a Hoover Fellow. The term of the appointment is five years, with the option to renew for one additional term. The position is located at the Hoover Institution, Stanford, CA.
To introduce early-career scholars to the Austrian, Virginia, and Bloomington schools of political economy.
Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are due April 15, 2025.
Application review will begin after the deadline and we anticipate decisions will begin to be announced approximately ten to twelve weeks after the deadline.
The total award of up to $8,000 includes:
Talented early-career researchers may apply for a three-year appointment as a post-doc researcher at an Academy institute to conduct research on the labour market and social security in the Netherlands.
