Since 1989, leading Irish and multinational corporations, semi-state bodies, voluntary organisations and individuals have supported high-calibre, post-doctoral research across the humanities and sciences through the UCD Newman Fellowship Programme.
Starting March 16, 2020, the ARL Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellowships will be accepting applications to three of the five fellowships indicated below. For additional information, see the review process and selection timeline below.
Applications are invited for postdoctoral bursaries from researchers working in any of the research areas of the Centre for Theology and Public Issues (CTPI) in 2025-26. The applicant’s project must relate broadly to public theology, in relation to areas such as: peacebuilding and the arts; theology, politics, and migration; theology and environmental ethics; and theology, law and justice.
Applications are invited for Heritage Collections Research Fellowships (previously known as Library Fellowships) from postdoctoral scholars in any area of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, to carry out research based on any of the Heritage Collections held at the University of Edinburgh in 2025-26.

In our 50th anniversary year, we have created new Fellowships for the most promising scholars in the arts, humanities and social sciences. A Junior Anniversary Fellowship for up to 10 months is available to early career researchers who have completed their doctorate in the last three years.
The Religion, Spirituality, and Democratic Renewal (RSDR) Fellowship of the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) aims to bring knowledge of the place of religion and spirituality into scholarly and public conversations about renewing democracy in the United States. These fellowships are offered by the SSRC Program on Religion and the Public Sphere with the support and partnership of the Fetzer Institute.
