Individual projects

The Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies (RSC) offers one-year Jean Monnet Fellowships to scholars who have obtained their doctorate more than 5 years prior to the start of the fellowship, i.e. 1 September 2023 for the academic year 2023-24. The Fellowship programme is open to post-docs, tenure track academics and those wishing to spend their sabbatical at the RSC. We invite you to become part of a lively and creative academic community. The Centre offers up to 20 Fellowships a year.

Getty Pre- and Postdoctoral Fellowships are intended for emerging researchers to complete work on projects related to the Scholars Program’s annual theme. While in residence, fellows may pursue research projects, complete dissertations, or expand dissertations for publication. There are dedicated grants for fellows who are expanding critical inquiry of African American art and its frameworks as part of the Getty’s African American Art History Initiative (AAAHI).

The Getty Scholars Program supports innovative research about art, conceived in the broadest terms, and its histories, by providing a locus for international scholars to forge collaborations across disciplines and professional practices, while also developing new audiences for their work. During their residency, the scholar cohort is immersed in a vibrant local community devoted to the advancement of knowledge and hosted at an institution committed to preserving, understanding, interpreting, and sharing its vast library and collections.

La mise en valeur scientifique des fonds d’archives de la Banque de France ainsi que l’animation de la recherche historique sont principalement assurées par Michel Margairaz, professeur émérite à l’université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne et par Olivier Feiertag, professeur à l’université de Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Article I : Objet du Prix Clio

Depuis 1997, la société Clio décerne chaque année plusieurs prix destinés à encourager et soutenir la recherche archéologique francophone à l’étranger.

Kone Foundation funds academic research in humanities, social sciences, and environmental sciences, artistic research, and professional artistic work. Additionally, we fund cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary work between the fields and disciplines supported by the Foundation.

In the belief that Malevich was a pioneer of modern art and should be better recognized for his key contributions to the history of Modernism, the Malevich Society awards grants to encourage research, writing, and other activities relating to the history and memory of Kazimir Malevich.

The Malevich Society welcomes applications from scholars of any nationality. PhD candidates whose dissertation topics have been accepted by their institutions may apply for support after completing at least one year of dissertation research.

With the Marie Skłodowska-Curie FRIAS COFUND Fellowship Programme about 15 fellows per year (juniors and seniors) from all disciplines are given the opportunity of spending three to twelve months working on their own research project at the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS), the international research college of the University of Freiburg. 

AFSP's Research Grants support studies that will increase our understanding of suicide or test treatments and other interventions that save lives.
