Individual projects

The Midcareer Grant program was launched in 2014 to enrich the work of academic midcareer scholars who are seven to twenty years post doctorate. This targeted program provides support for those who are interested in advancing their understanding of a compelling problem of education by acquiring new skills, substantive knowledge, theoretical perspectives or methodological tools.

Grants are for one year with budgets of up to $150,000.

En février 2015, le Gouvernement annonçait un soutien à la recherche en islamologie ainsi qu’en sciences humaines sur l’islam de France. Cette annonce faisait suite aux conclusions du « Livre Blanc » du GIS Moyen-Orient/Mondes Musulmans et du rapport « Disciplines rares », 2014, Une ligne de crédits de recherche intitulée « Islam, religion, et société » a donc été ouverte à la rentrée 2015. Elle a pour objectif de soutenir la recherche dans ces champs disciplinaires et de contribuer à la recréation d’un vivier de chercheurs.
