With the ERC Public Engagement with Research award, the ERC wishes to recognise and reward outstanding science communicators among its Principal Investigators who successfully engage audiences outside their domain with ERC-funded research.
The object of this fund, established by the family and friends of Neil R Ker FBA, is to promote the study of Western medieval manuscripts, in particular those of British interest; that is enabling investigation of their production (including decoration), readership and use in particular.
The fund is not intended to support research visits to read manuscripts for their textual / historical or literary purposes.
The Economic History Society, in conjunction with the Institute of Historical Research, offers up to four one-year postdoctoral Fellowships in economic and/or social history, tenable at the Institute from 1 October 2024.
