IFRA-Nairobi invites applications for Associate Researcher.

IFRA-Nairobi promotes research in all the disciplines of the social sciences and humanities, mainly geography, political science, anthropology and history. Research covers Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Eastern DRC. Main research areas are Political in East Africa, Economic Dynamics, Culture and Society, Decolonizing Knowledge.

IFRA-Nairobi Associate Researchers benefit from the IFRA-Nairobi network (especially French universities, French Research Unit CNRS, IRD and CIRAD). They are members of IFRA- Nairobi’s publications Editorial Boards: The East African Review and Mambo! Working Paper, and are expected to contribute to the activities of these publications (paper submission, reviews, etc.). They can benefit from specific support to conduct their research (Associate Researcher Grants). Associates will be encouraged and supported to apply for external research grants in partnerships involving IFRA-Nairobi and to publish their work in IFRA’s publications. IFRA-Nairobi Associate Researchers are expected to contribute to IFRA-Nairobi activities and to be active members of IFRA-Nairobi research community.
