Post-doctoral Fellowship in East European Labor History at CEU Budapest
The Labor History Initiative at the CEU Department of History invites applications for a residential fellowship on the topic of Labor History with a special emphasis on Eastern Europe writ large, including comparative and transnational approaches within and beyond the region. This postdoctoral fellowship contributes to the CEU Labor History Initiative and to developing this area of research in the region.
The fellowship, which is affiliated with the CEU Department of History, includes: net allowance of EUR 2,000 per month for 12 months, EUR 3,000 for research and event organization, & shared office space at CEU as available. The fellow is responsible for his/her own travel arrangements and health insurance. The fellow is required to be in continuous residence for the duration of the scholarship.
Applicants should be recent holders of doctoral degrees in relevant fields in the humanities with a track record appropriate to their career stage already in evidence. There is no restriction concerning citizenship, race, gender, or age.
The Post-doctoral Fellows are expected to engage with the life and activities of the faculty and students at the Department of History. The stipend has been set according to CEU standards and is competitive for the region. This postdoctoral fellowship is funded by the CEU Humanities Initiative grant, “Laboring Lives: The Experience of Work in Eastern Europe.”
