Thomas Arnold and Zvi Yavetz Fellowships in Historical Studies
The Thomas Arthur Arnold Fund for Excellence in Historical Research at the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies, Tel Aviv University, Israel, will award two one-year post-doctoral fellowships, of $30,000 each, in historical studies, for the academic year 2019-2020.
Fellows will conduct their research under the supervision of a senior faculty member from the School of History or from the department of Jewish history at Tel Aviv University. Fellows are expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area. Tel Aviv University PhD holders are not eligible.
Candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2014 and no later than 1 October 2019. They are to submit proof of receipt of PhD, three letters of reference, CV, a short description of their proposed post-doctoral project, a writing sample, and an endorsement letter from the faculty member willing to sponsor them.
Recipients are required to participate in the activities of the School of History.
