The Freiburg Postdoctoral Academy (FPA) invites early career researchers from various disciplines to apply for 10 memberships in the newly launched Young Academy for Cultures and Societies Research (YAC). The programme, running from October 2025 to September 2028, focuses on the topic “The Good Life – What Makes a Good Society” and offers individual and group research budgets, networking opportunities, and project support.
TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) aims to stimulate and support interdisciplinary research activity. The TORCH International Engagement Fund supports such collaborations explicitly with partners outside the UK. TORCH thus invites applications from researchers in the Humanities seeking funding for international activity.
The Northwestern University Melville J. Herskovits Library of African Studies is one of the largest separate African studies libraries in existence. Established in 1954, its subject matter ranges from art, history, literature, music, science, technology and religion to communications, engineering, management and cookery to name a few.
The Brocher Foundation offers a grant of up to CHF 6,000 to cover the travel expenses of 12 participants (6 of whom must come from Europe).
