The aim of this award is to provide financial support towards living and subsistence costs in London to enable scholars to undertake a period of research on the Arabic, Persian, Hindustani and other Oriental languages in this country.
Every year, the MPIfG invites a leading scholar in political economy or economic sociology to spend three to six months in residence at the Institute.
Scholars in Residence are selected by the directors on the basis of an established record of excellence as well as a current research project in an area related to the core interests of researchers at the Institute. Both nominations and direct applications are possible.
Inaugurated in the 1999-2000 academic year, the Postdoctoral Associates Program at the Council on East Asian Studies provides promising scholars specializing in East Asia two years at Yale University in which they can prepare their dissertations for publication, pursue research projects, gain experience teaching advanced seminars to undergraduates, and utilize Yale’s resources. Proposals with single region or transregional emphasis on China, Japan, and/or Korea are welcome.
The Botstiber Institute for Austrian-American Studies (BIAAS) and the Austrian-American Educational Commission (AAEC) / Fulbright Austria jointly established two Fulbright-Botstiber Visiting Professors of Austrian-American Studies.
A Fulbright-Botstiber award (approximately $20,000 for one academic semester) is offered annually to one Austrian scholar to be hosted by institutions in the United States, and an identical award is offered annually to one American scholar to be hosted by institutions in Austria.

Ses travaux portent sur le Maroc, la Mauritanie et plus largement le Maghreb sur la longue durée, dans les disciplines suivantes : archéologie, histoire, sociologie, anthropologie, géographie, science politique, droit, sciences économiques.
