Juliane and Franz Roh Fellowship in Modern and Contemporary Art

The Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte will award two Juliane and Franz Roh Fellowships in Modern and Contemporary Art (20th-21st century) at the Studienzentrum zur Kunst der Moderne und Gegenwart at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte.

The fellowships are intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars who have graduated within the last five years who are working on a project related to modern or contemporary art. Fellows are expected to partake in the activities of the ZI and to present the fellowship project.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Environmental Humanities at Northwestern

The Kaplan Institute for the Humanities invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Environmental Humanities, to run from September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2021. Applications are welcome from scholars who study the environment from any humanities perspective (focusing on, for instance, ecological approaches to literature, gender, religion, politics, philosophy, the arts, and/or race; animal studies; environmental justice, ethics and sustainability; and/or environmental history).

LUCE POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS

Luce Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships are open to post-doctoral level applicants, including junior faculty members (i.e. those within five years of having received the PhD). We invite research proposals primarily focused on the archival collections at the Ricci Institute and serving the preparation of research publications. Topics of inquiry may include Chinese-Western cultural history, history of Christianity in China, comparative studies of Christianity and cultures in China, Japan, and Korea, etc.

Rutgers Race and Gender Postdoctoral Associate

The Department of History at Rutgers University announces a post-doctoral associate fellowship for scholars pursuing research in race and gender studies. The successful applicant must have the doctorate in hand at the time of application, be no more than six years beyond the Ph.D., and be able to teach history courses. The fellowship of $60,000 is for one year and includes benefits and a $5,000 research stipend.

Dimensions of Europe - Junior and Senior Fellowship Program

During the academic year 2025/2026, the fellowship program will focus on topics related to the five research clusters of the Field of Excellence "Dimensions of Europe".

Junior Visiting Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2.000 € for the duration of 4 months as well as a reimbursment of their travel costs to Graz (of up to 600 €). Junior Visiting Fellows need to have completed their PhD by the time they begin their fellowship.
