Fondée en 1875, l’École française de Rome est un établissement public à caractère scientifique, culturel et professionnel, placé sous la tutelle du ministère de l’éducation nationale, de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche.

Elle a pour mission fondamentale la recherche et la formation à la recherche  dans le champ de l’archéologie, de l’histoire et des autres sciences humaines et sociales, de la Préhistoire à nos jours. Son domaine d’intervention privilégié couvre un espace comprenant Rome, l’Italie, le Maghreb et les pays du Sud-Est européen proches de la mer Adriatique.

Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in Philosophy of the Environment

Two year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in The Cogut Institute for the Humanities and Department of Philosophy in Philosophy of the Environment. AOS: Philosophy of the Environment; AOC: Any relevant subfield of philosophy, including but not limited to moral philosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, aesthetics, and/or history of philosophy. Duties including teaching one course per semester, at least one of which must be in philosophy of the environment, and participating in the weekly Cogut Institute seminar.
