Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics Fellows-in-Residence Program

The Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University invites applications from a broad range of researchers and practitioners who will work over the course of the year on pressing issues in ethics. Faculty in arts and sciences and professional schools, postdoctoral scholars, practitioners, and researchers from industry, government, and NGOs are eligible to apply. The call for applications for the 2026-27 academic year is completely open: we will consider any topic pertaining to the serious ethical questions of our time.

USC Society of Fellows in the Humanities Postdoctoral Fellowships

Each year the Society admits five postdoctoral fellows, who are appointed for two-year terms. The fellows pursue research and teach three courses over four semesters, with one semester for full-time research. They are expected to reside in the Los Angeles area during the academic year and to participate in the scholarly life of the Society, the host department, and the university.

Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Fellowships

The Robert and Lisa Sainsbury Fellowships, established in 2000 through generous funding from Lord Sainsbury of Turville, are designed to strengthen academic ties with Japanese studies programmes across Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America. The Fellowships provide recipients with an invaluable opportunity to work in a scholarly environment, ideal for advancing publication projects.

Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Keyman Modern Turkish Studies Program at the Buffett Institute for Global Affairs at Northwestern University invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the study of Turkey and its diasporas in a global or a comparative perspective. Scholars in all branches of the Social Sciences and Humanities may apply. We welcome and encourage applications from early career scholars whose work focuses on nondominant and underrepresented groups including religious, ethnic, and LBGTQ minorities and otherwise marginalized groups.

Clements Library Research Fellowships

The William L. Clements Library offers fellowships to help scholars access the Library’s rich primary source collections for research. A Fellowship Review Committee will assign successful applicants to a named fellowship as described below.

The four broad categories are Long-term, Short-term, Week-long, and Digital fellowships. The application requires a selection of which type of fellowship you would like to be considered for and the duration you expect your research visit to take.

Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Humanities Center at the University of Rochester invites applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship. The fellowship period will run from September 1, 2026 to May 15, 2028, with the possibility of a one-year extension at the discretion of the selection committee in consultation with the fellow and the Director of the Humanities Center.

Visiting Research Scholar at the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics

Princeton University's Center for the Study of Democratic Politics (CSDP) seeks visiting scholars for 12-month positions starting in August 2026. The Center supports empirical research on democratic political processes and institutions. Applications are welcome from political scientists and scholars in related social science disciplines. CSDP visiting scholar positions are restricted to employed scholars on leave who are expected to return to their positions.
