Dr. Eli Reinhard Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Jewish Studies

The core mission of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies is to promote scholarship in Jewish Studies, a mission that includes welcoming scholars at all stages of their careers with expertise in various aspects of Jewish Studies. The Center seeks to provide a supportive context for scholars seeking to do Jewish Studies-related research at Stanford and advancing their careers. 

Collaborative Humanities Postdoctoral Program (CHPP)

The Collaborative Humanities Postdoctoral Program (CHPP) brings together a dynamic cohort of early-career scholars in the humanities and humanistic social sciences to revitalize humanistic inquiry in today’s moment. At a time when complex challenges—from climate change and migration to questions of democracy, equity, and technology—demand perspectives that cut across disciplinary lines, the humanities provide a critical voice in the conversation.

Harry Starr Fellowship in Judaica

The Harvard University Center for Jewish Studies invites applications each academic year for the Harry Starr Fellowship in Judaica. Applicants may come from any discipline in the humanities or social sciences associated with studies in Judaica; junior faculty are especially encouraged to apply. PhDs are required.

The Harry Starr Fellowships were established by a bequest from the estate of Harry Starr, A.B. 1921, LL.B. 1924, who had a broad vision of academic Jewish studies and of their place in university programs in the humanities and the social sciences.

Post-Doctoral Residential Research & Teaching Fellowship in Africa or African Diaspora Studies

The Carter G. Woodson Institute for African American and African Studies invites applications for residential Post-Doctoral Research Associates, beginning in July 2026 (must have PhD in hand by June 15, 2026). As this is an early-career opportunity, post-doctoral applicants must have received their Ph.D.

Lemelson Center Fellowship Program

The Lemelson Center Fellowship Program supports projects that present creative approaches to the study of invention and innovation in American society. These include, but are not limited to, historical research and documentation projects resulting in dissertations, publications, exhibitions, educational initiatives, documentary films, or other multimedia products.
