The Kennan Institute seeks applications from scholars who have received their Ph.D. within the past 10 years for the newly established Billington Fellowship to conduct research on Russian history and culture. The Billington Fellowship was established in 2016 in tribute to the co-founder of the Kennan Institute, Director Emeritus of the Wilson Center, and Librarian Emeritus of Congress, James H. Billington. Dr. Billington has made enduring contributions to the field of Russian Studies, and in our nation’s ability to understand and maintain bridges of dialogue with the Russian people.
Two Interdisciplinary Fellowships at the Rutgers Center for Historical Analysis 2025-2026
The Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences and the Rutgers Center for Historical Analysis invite applications for two interdisciplinary residential postdoctoral fellowships in the Center’s seminar for academic year 2025-2026 on “Black Power and White Supremacy: The Cyclical Dialectics of Power,” directed by Professors Leslie Alexander and Kim Butler, Departments of Africana Studies and History.

Ces bourses s’adressent en priorité à des doctorant.e.s et à des post-doctorant.e.s français ou étrangers (inscrits dans une université française pour les doctorant.e.s ou associé à un laboratoire de recherche français pour les post-doctorant.e.s) poursuivant des recherches sur l’Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine. Elles sont destinées à mener des enquêtes de terrain sur la thématique du doctorat, approfondir des recherches déjà engagées en thèse ou entamer un nouveau terrain post-doctoral.
