The Leibniz-Zentrum für Zeithistorische Forschung Potsdam / Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History Potsdam (ZZF) is pleased to invite applications for three

Leibniz Summer Fellowships in the field of “German and/or European (including Eastern European) History in the Twentieth Century.” 

These two-month fellowships provide international scholars an opportunity to pursue individual research in Germany while participating in the academic life of one of Germany’s major historical research centres. 

The University Center for Human Values invites applications for Laurance S. Rockefeller Visiting Faculty Fellowships for the academic year 2026-27. Fellows devote an academic year in residence at Princeton to research and writing about topics involving human values in public and private life. This full-time visiting program is open to scholars in all disciplines across the humanities and social sciences. We welcome applications from scholars from a variety of disciplines. 

Our Fellowships offer an opportunity to carry out independent research in a stimulating and supportive academic community, to meet established researchers across a range of disciplines, and to take part in the life of Newnham College.

Applications will be accepted from any female graduate of a university within or outside the United Kingdom. Candidates should note that these Research Fellowships are extremely competitive.

The Incoming LMU Research Fellowships are directed at outstanding international junior researchers from all fields of research. They are designed to promote the career development of early-career postdoctoral researchers by fostering their mobility and supporting them in developing their academic profile.

The Sexualities Project at Northwestern (SPAN) invites applications for two two-year postdoctoral fellowships in Sexuality Studies, to run from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2028. Applications are welcome from scholars who study sexuality from a social science perspective (broadly construed).

The James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University is dedicated to the pursuit of scholarly excellence in the fields of constitutional law and political thought. Sponsored by Princeton's Department of Politics, the Program seeks to enrich the intellectual life of Princeton students and faculty by exploring American constitutional principles and structures through research and public discussion. 

The McNeil Center for Early American Studies will appoint a Barra Sabbatical Fellow for a nine-month term, beginning 1 September 2026. This fellowship is designed for a scholar on leave from a faculty position for the 2026–2027 academic year and at work on a book-length research project. Applications are welcome from scholars whose project focuses on any aspect of the histories and cultures of North America in the Atlantic before 1850. Candidates who have received McNeil Center funding for a closely related project are not eligible.

The McNeil Center for Early American Studies will appoint a Barra Postdoctoral Fellow for a two-year term, beginning 1 July 2026. Applications are welcome from junior scholars whose work focuses on any aspect of the histories and cultures of North America in the Atlantic world before 1850. Applicants must have earned the PhD no earlier than 2022 and must have completed all requirements for the degree when the appointment commences. Candidates who have received McNeil Center funding for a related project at the pre-doctoral stage are not eligible.

The Wayne Vucinich Fellowship is a three-month fellowship at the Stanford University Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES). During the fellowship period, the Vucinich Fellow is expected to pursue her or his independent research in residency and to participate actively in the scholarly activities of the Center. The fellow will have access to Stanford University Libraries and the Hoover Institution Library and Archives as well as a community of scholars at Stanford. The fellow will hold a lecture, seminar or workshop on his or her research, organized by CREEES.
