Sophie Davis Post-Doctoral Fellowship on Gender, Conflict Resolution and Peace

The Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations is pleased to offer the Sophie Davis Fellowship for postdoctoral student, to Israeli and overseas applicants who are working on issues related to Gender, Conflict Resolution and Peace.

Fellowships will be paid over a period of twelve months from October 2019 till September 2020. 

Applicants must submit their dissertation no later than September 30, 2019, or hold a doctoral degree granted after September 2014.

Northwestern Postdoctoral Fellowship in Black Studies

The Department of Black Studies at Northwestern University invites applications for a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship with a start date of September 1, 2024. Candidates with PhDs granted between 2022 and the start date are encouraged to apply. Candidates can be from any (inter-) discipline, but should have a commitment to the field of Black Studies, and have a research and teaching profile in Black histories in the Americas, addressing environmental studies and/or health. This is a residential fellowship.

Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships at the AUB Arts and Humanities Center Beirut

The American University of Beirut invites applications for its Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowships in the Arts and Humanities, which begins in September 2019. The duration of appointment will be 10 months. Appointees will be attached to a relevant department and will be expected to remain in residence for the duration of the academic year.

The position is open to recent recipients of the PhD degree whose research and teaching interests involve one or more of the following disciplines:

Koç University Regular Fellowships in Anatolian Civilization Studies

Koç University invites applications from scholars specializing in the archaeology, art history, history, cultural heritage and related disciplines of Anatolia from the Neolithic to the Ottoman period. Research grants will be awarded to approximately 10 PhD students*, 10 postdoctoral** and senior*** researchers to spend one academic year at Koç University’s Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations. Successful candidates are expected to reside in Istanbul for the nine-month academic year (September 15 – June 15).

Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies Fellowship Program

The Institute offers in-residence fellowships to facilitate the research, completion, and/or publication of academic work related to the Society of Jesus. Preference will be given to applications that propose publication projects for the Institute of Jesuit Sources and IJS Studies during their fellowship at the Institute. There are semester-long and year-long fellowships.
