The Center for the Transdisciplinary Research of Violence, Trauma and Justice (VITRI) represents a hub for the study of collective violence, reconciliation, and transitional justice at the Charles University in Prague. VITRI aims to inspire collaboration within divergent disciplines and encourage emerging academics and advanced doctoral students to tackle herein investigated questions from medical and historical to political and legal perspectives.

Thanks to generous benefactions from the Wolfson Family Charitable Trust, and from the Dorset Foundation in memory of Harry M Weinrebe, the IHR is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral fellow in Jewish History in any period.

The successful applicant will join a thriving programme for post-doctoral historians in the IHR. The Institute is home to a large cohort of stipendiary doctoral and post-doctoral fellows at any one time, the IHR Jewish History Fellow will have access to all the facilities of the Institute

The Liu Institute for Asia and Asian Studies, in partnership with the Department of Art, Art History & Design, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in the history of the art of China at the University of Notre Dame for AY 2018-19 with the possibility of renewal for AY 2019-20. Priority will be given to candidates working in periods prior to the twentieth century.

Applicants may not be more than five years beyond the receipt of the PhD at the start of the fellowship. ABD applicants considered.

The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS offers the opportunity to study in the library and archives and the necessary research facilities for foreign researchers in Bohemian Studies within the framework of scholarships provided by the CAS.

Currently, it is possible to apply for the Josef Dobrovský Fellowship, intended for foreign researchers (usually under 35 years of age) who need to study local historical, cultural, artistic, linguistic, geographical or natural realities in the Czech Republic for their scientific work.
