Fellowship Slots and Periods

Six fellowships, including one librarian position, will become available on the following dates:

University of Luxemburg C²DH Visiting Researcher Fellowships

The C²DH offers several fellowships for visiting researchers: for PhD candidates, Post-Docs and Senior Researchers.

The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C²DH) is the University of Luxembourg’s third interdisciplinary research centre, focusing on high-quality research, analysis and public dissemination in the field of contemporary history. It promotes an interdisciplinary approach with a particular focus on new digital methods and tools for historical research and teaching.

UMichigan Forsyth Postdoctoral Fellowship on African Art and Visual Cultures

The Department of the History of Art at the University of Michigan invites applications for the Forsyth Postdoctoral Fellowship, dedicated this year to Afro-Diasporic, African American, and Native American/ Indigenous/First Nations arts and visual cultures.  Especially welcome are applicants proposing new critical conversations across disciplines, connecting art history to the environment, philosophical humanities, medicine, science and technology, religion, museology, and other creative realms.  The one-year appointment begins September 1, 2021, with possible one-year renewal.

HISTORISCHES KOLLEG┋Honorary Fellowships

As an Honorary Fellow, you will spend a short period (2 to max. 6 months) at the Historisches Kolleg in Munich. The fellowship offers you an atmosphere of concentrated tranquility, where you will have the opportunity to conduct research and write undisturbed.

 

What we offer

You will reside in the Kaulbachvilla, and the team at the Historisches Kolleg will assist you with all your needs.An honorary fellowship offers you the opportunity to write in a quiet atmosphere in Munich and to conduct archive and library research.

Visiting Fellowships in Russian and Eastern European Studies

The Aleksanteri Institute Visiting Fellows Programme provides an opportunity for highly qualified scholars in Russian and Eastern European studies to visit the Aleksanteri Institute and the University of Helsinki for a period of one to three months. During the fellowship, Visiting Fellows work on their research projects and can benefit from interaction with scholars at the Aleksanteri Institute and elsewhere in Finland. Each Visiting Fellow has two academic hosts who are working on a related theme and who help them to settle in and establish contacts with the research community in Finland.
