Dartmouth Society of Fellows Postdoctoral Program

These fellowships foster the academic careers of scholars who have recently received their Ph.D. degrees. Fellows pursue their research while gaining mentored experience as teachers and members of the departments or programs in which they are housed. In addition, fellows participate in the Society alongside other postdoctoral scholars and Dartmouth faculty in a spirit of multidisciplinary learning and mutual enrichment. 

Mellon-Schlesinger Summer Research Grants on Gender and Suffrage

A major grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has allowed the Schlesinger Library to launch the Long 19th Amendment Project interrogating the centennial of American women’s suffrage.

The grant will fund up to three eight-week residencies each June–July in 2019, 2020, and 2021 for researchers doing advanced work on the gender and suffrage, voting rights, citizenship, or other related topics. Successful projects will draw in meaningful ways on Schlesinger Library collections.

The stipend for each award is $15,000.

Postdoctoral Research Associate Position on Contemporary China

The Wythes Center on Contemporary China at the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) seeks to hire a social science scholar working on China.  While the position is open to rank, preference will be given to early-career scholars from the social sciences whose scholarship and teaching combine disciplinary expertise, methodological rigor, and deep regional knowledge of China (including the ability to read, write, and speak Chinese). 

WiRe┋Postdoc Fellowships for International Female Researchers

The WiRe-Women in Research fellowship programme of the University of Münster’s Welcome Centre is delighted to again offer several WiRe Fellowships for international female postdoctoral researchers from all over the world. WiRe was founded to address the unique challenges facing women in research with a special focus on female Postdocs. Throughout the duration of the fellowship, participants conduct their research in cooperation with a professor at the University of Münster (WWU) in Germany.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships at All Souls College Oxford

All Souls College invites applications for up to six Post-Doctoral Research Fellowships, two in Life or Environmental Sciences, and one in each of the following subjects: History since 1800; History of Art or Music or Science (excluding History of Medicine); Mathematics; and Social Anthropology.   Those elected will be expected to take up their Fellowships on 1 October 2023 or such other date as may be agreed in advance with the College.  The Fellowships are for five years, fixed-term, and non-renewable. 

Visiting Professorships in the United Kingdom

For UK institutions to invite an eminent senior professor from overseas, to bring genuinely novel expertise and enhance the skills and knowledge of academic staff and students in an underrepresented area in the UK. Priority will be given to new or recent collaborations and visits with a variety of activities beyond research.

Value

Applications are invited for a minimum of £10,000 and a maximum of £150,000. 

Khyentse Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Tibetan Buddhist Studies at UBC

The Department of Asian Studies, University of British Columbia (Vancouver campus), invites applications for the Khyentse Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in Tibetan Buddhist Studies. The Department of Asian Studies has strengths in a number of areas, including East Asian and South Asian history, religion, literary culture and thought. The interdisciplinary UBC Himalaya Program brings together faculty and students across campus with interests in the Himalayan region.
