Seymour Gitin Distinguished Professorship

The W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research (AIAR) supports an annual Fellows program that brings US, Israeli, Palestinian and other international scholars together in the shared pursuit of research excellence. The AIAR offers around 12 fellowships every year, each with different requirements regarding nationality, academic status, and terms of residency (between one to six months). Continuous residency at the Albright is required without frequent trips outside the country, and each fellowship includes a stipend that is used in part to cover room and board.

Nous cherchons un postdoctorant ou une postdoctorante capable de mener à bien un projet de recherche s’inscrivant dans la thématique générale du programme de recherche transnational "La bureaucratisation des sociétés africaines". Les disciplines éligibles sont les sciences humaines et sociales.

Kingdon Fellowship at Wisconsin-Madison in Jewish and/or Christian Studies

The Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is pleased to offer two Robert M. Kingdon Fellowships for the academic year 2026–2027, to be awarded to scholars from outside the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Through a generous bequest from Robert M. Kingdon, the Kingdon Fellowship sponsors scholars working in the humanities in the historical, literary, artistic, and/or philosophical studies of Christian and/or Jewish religious traditions and their role in society.

Solmsen Fellowship at Wisconsin-Madison in pre-1700 European History and Culture

The Institute for Research in the Humanities at the University of Wisconsin–Madison is pleased to offer four Solmsen Fellowships for the academic year 2026–2027, to be awarded to scholars from outside the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Through a generous bequest from Friedrich and Lieselotte Solmsen, the Solmsen Fellowships sponsor scholars working in the humanities on European history, literature, philosophy, politics, religion, art and culture in the classical, medieval, and/or early modern periods before 1700.
