Global Type Call for Applications at Hakubi Center for Advanced Research, Kyoto

In 2009, the Hakubi Project to Foster and Support Young Researchers was inaugurated at Kyoto University. The University appoints promising young researchers as program-specific faculty members, and supports the research activities of top level researchers from around the world, to develop visionary researchers who will pioneer new paths in their respective academic fields.

Riley Postdoctoral Fellowship in Canadian History

The H. Sanford Riley Fellowship in Canadian History promotes public engagement with the study of Canada’s history at the University of Winnipeg and in the wider community. The Fellowship is made possible by a generous endowment from H. Sanford (Sandy) Riley of Winnipeg, an enthusiastic student of Canada’s history. He is a former Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg and a vigorous supporter of Canada's National History Society. The Fellowship is an integral component of the H. Sanford Riley Centre for Canadian History.

Spatial Humanities Postdoctoral Fellowship at Rice

With support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Humanities Research Center (HRC) at Rice University will award one postdoctoral fellowship for a renewable one-year appointment in the theory, history, and/or practice of Spatial Humanities. The fellow will develop or continue his or her own research project in spatial humanities, give a presentation to colleagues at Rice, assist the HRC in organizing a lecture series, and offer one course per year related to his or her research.

Robert A. Oden Jr. Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Refugee and Migration Studies at Carleton College

Carleton College is seeking a recent Ph.D. with a specialization in transnational migration to fill our Robert A. Oden Jr. Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Liberal Arts. This fellowship is a two-year appointment for a faculty member with doctorate in hand and received no more than five years previously. The position is half-time teaching (two courses one year and three courses the next) and half-time research and writing.
