Visiting Fellow In Gender, Body Politics and Iranian Art

The initiative, developed jointly by the Center for Middle East Studies at Brown University and the Middle East Studies Institute at Columbia University, focuses on gender and body politics in relation to Iran. We are inviting applications from an artist to spend one entire academic year residing one semester at each institution starting January 2024 to December 2024. This fellowship is generously supported by the Persian Heritage Foundation. 

Ikerbasque permanent positions

Ikerbasque offers 10 permanent positions for researchers willing to develop a long-term scientific career in the Basque Country. These positions are financed by the Basque Government, the European Commission and the host institution where the researcher will develop their research.

HIFMB/HWK Artist in Residence

The Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity at the University of Oldenburg (HIFMB) and the Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, Institute for Advanced Study (HWK), have created the artist-in-residence program “ArtWaves” for the duration of the UN Ocean Decade, offering annual fellowships.

We jointly invite applications for one fellowship for an artist to take place in 2024.

KING’S COLLEGE CAMBRIDGE STIPENDIARY RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP in the Art, Literature, Music or Visual Culture of the Global South

King’s College Cambridge invites applications for a Research Fellowship from those working on the Art, Literature, Music or Visual Culture of the Global South. We are particularly interested in the analysis of creative responses to topical issues, including issues such as climate change. Applications are welcome from all those working within any of the disciplinary traditions of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences who wish to undertake a major project over the course of the four years of this Fellowship. The brief is deliberately wide to encompass innovative thinking about the topic.

Warren and Susan Stern Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Jewish Thought at Columbia University

Columbia University’s Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies is proud to announce a post-doctoral fellowship at the rank of Post-doctoral Research Scholar in Jewish Studies for the 2024-2025 academic year. The salary for the fellowship will be $78,540.

This fellowship is open to scholars in the field of Jewish Thought/Jewish Philosophy.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation presents approximately 20 Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel Research Awards annually to internationally renowned academics from abroad in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in research. The award is named for German astronomer and mathematician Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel (1784–1846) and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
