The BBF Scholarship Program offers twice-a-year opportunities for research stays at the BBF to conduct on-site research with the library and archival collections.

As an institute for historical research, the BBF is dedicated to research German educational history in its international context. In particular, the BBF focuses on social and cultural historical aspects concerning the history of schools and other educational institutions in the 19th and 20th centuries and on the history of pedagogical and educational discourses and their epistemological conditions.

The Monumenta Germaniae Historica (MGH) are proud to offer two short-term scholarships for post-doctoral researchers for the year 2023 funded by the Arno-Borst Foundation. The scholarships entail a research sojourn in Munich for the period of three months with a monthly stipend of 2000€. Applications will be received from Germany and abroad. To be eligible, applicants must have already completed their Ph.D. in Medieval History or the „Historische Wissenschaften“(palaeography, diplomatics, epigraphics and related studies), ideally with a thesis related to editions.

The College for Social Sciences and Humanities is an Institute for Advanced Study established in 2021 as part of the Research Alliance Ruhr, a joint initiative of the University of Duisburg-Essen, Ruhr University Bochum and TU Dortmund University under the umbrella of the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr).

The Centre for International Peace and Security Studies (CIPSS) at McGill University
invites applications for a full-time Post-doctoral Researcher to work as part of a new SSHRC
funded research programme on internally displaced persons (IDPs), under the direction of Prof.
Jennifer Welsh and Prof. Megan Bradley.

Since its 30th founding anniversary, the Moses Mendelssohn Center annually awards Guest Fellowships for European-Jewish studies for stays of up to four months. The fellowship program is dedicated to the memory of Hildegard Robinsohn (1907–1996), a Jewish lawyer and advocate in restitution trials. She was married to Saul B.

The Department of Political Science at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, invites applications for one or more 2-year fulltime postdoctoral positions to join a new research project on political parties and their youth wings. The project is directed by associate professor, Henrik Bech Seeberg.

The starting date is February 1st, 2024 but can be flexible subject to mutual agreement.
