The Pufendorf Institute for Advanced Studies (IAS) is tasked with stimulating interdisciplinary research at Lund University. The Institute gives researchers from different disciplines and faculties at Lund University the opportunity to work together for 9 months on a research problem area.

The Institute is an incubator for new research ideas and welcomes theme applications concerning research questions that are at an early stage. These ideas are generally not yet mature enough for other forms of research funding.

Applications for the 2024-2025 Practitioner Fellowship will open on September 11, 2023 with a submission deadline of October 13, 2023 at 5:00pm pacific time.

The Münchner Zentrum für Antike Welten (MZAW) invites applications for a Visiting Professorship in Cultural History of the Ancient World for either one or two years, starting on October 1, 2024. The monthly salary is based on grade W2 Level 1.

PLAS awards two postdoctoral fellowships annually to the most promising early career scholars from any discipline who are engaged in research related to Latin American Studies, including the Caribbean and Brazil. The fellowship is a 12-month term starting in the fall, with the possibility of renewal, contingent on satisfactory performance and continued funding. PLAS postdoctoral research associates are expected to devote themselves to research and writing, and may teach not more than one course per semester.
