Etienne Baluze Prize for local history

The Association for the European Biennale of local history in partnership with the Istituto storico italiano per l’étà moderna e contemporanea welcomes applications for the 2023 Étienne Baluze Prize for European Local History. A prize of €2,000 will reward a first research work devoted to the history of food in Europe (production, distribution, consumption) between the 14th and 21st centuries.

GOVAI Research Fellows

We are looking to hire one or more Research Fellows. We are open to candidates with a wide range of research interests and backgrounds, who have a demonstrated ability to produce excellent research and care deeply about the lasting impacts of AI. The role would offer significant flexibility, access to a broad network of experts, and opportunities for collaboration.

Romanikforschungspreis

The European Center of the Romanesque (Europäisches Romanik Zentrum, ERZ) awards outstanding international research on the field of the Romanesque period. The award is donated by the Stiftung Saalesparkasse (Halle).

The award aims to promote, honour and encourage graduated junior researchers contributing to the study of art and architectural history, archaeology, history, history of theology and liturgy, history of literature or the law of the early and high Middle Ages.

Paul Bunge Prize

The Paul Bunge Prize of the Hans R. Jenemann Foundation is now open for applications for the award next year. The prize is endowed with 7,500 euros and honors studies on the history of scientific instruments. It is awarded for individual works from the last five years or for lifetime achievements. Works can be submitted in German, English or French. Both self-applications and nominations are welcome.

The awarding of the prize is decided by the foundation's advisory board, which is supported by the GDCh and the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry.
