Individual projects

Applications for research scholarships can be made directly by Postdocs or scholars with Post Doctoral Lecture Qualification. A research scholarship is usually applied for by one scholar who will work on a specific project on his own. PhD scholarships are only granted in connection with a research project. The simultaneous receipt of salary or retirement pension and a research scholarship is not possible. The period of support for Foundation stipend holders working on Ph.D.

Le Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration a lancé, en 2015, son premier Prix de la recherche. Ce prix vise à encourager le développement de travaux de recherche de qualité, en histoire des migrations. En 2016, le Prix récompensera la catégorie "livres".

Le Prix comporte deux catégories : les articles publiés dans une revue scientifique et les livres. Après les articles en 2015, le Prix récompensera les livres en 2016.

Le prix d'Histoire sociale est décerné par la Fondation Mattei Dogan et la Fondation Maison des Sciences de l'Homme (FMSH) à deux thèses de doctorat d'excellence traitant d’un sujet d’histoire sociale, dans le sens le plus large du terme, du XIXe au XXIe siècle, et portant :

The Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah offers doctoral, post-doctoral and research travel grants.

The Foundation funds research on Holocaust-related topics, including its roots and its consequences to the present day, and the study of contemporary anti-Semitism. It also backs research on other 20th-century genocides.

The Foundation gives precedence to projects that open up new fields of knowledge and take an original approach, especially if it draws upon comparative history.
