ESSEC Business School

Institution logo

A pioneer of business-related learning  since 1907, ESSEC’s mission is to respond to the challenges  of the future. In an interconnected, technological, and uncertain world, where the tasks are increasingly complex, ESSEC offers a unique pedagogical approach. This approach is founded on the creation and dissemination of cutting-edge knowledge, a blend of academic learning and practical experience, and a multicultural openness and dialogue.

Values

Since its creation in 1907, ESSEC Business School has built a reputation on high standards, a quest for excellence and a belief in intellectual freedom. A research driven academic institution, ESSEC has always tried to incarnate and transmit its five fundamental values of humanism, innovation, responsibility, excellence and diversity.

Knowledge Creation

ESSEC’s leadership in founded on its capacity to create new, relevant and high-impact knowledge that feeds into the school’s activities across the board: the Bachelor’s, Master’s and executive education programs, and the activities of businesses.

Networks

ESSEC is right at the very heart of a vast network above-all based on the dynamism of a tightly knit community counting 47,000 graduates. Striving to propose ever-rich experiences to its students, ESSEC is developing academic partnerships and continuously strengthening its links with companies and organisations. Campus 2023

With the Campus 2023 project, ESSEC is redefining its positioning within the Cergy-Pontoise conurbation. This new approach is underpinned by a strong focus on openness and interaction with the region, as well as a particular emphasis on the school’s international dimension, essential for fulfilling the global ambitions of ESSEC and the CY Alliance, of which the School is a member.

CYU

Since 2020, ESSEC is associated to CY Cergy Paris University and member of CY Alliance (ex COMUE University Paris Seine). As associated partner of CYU, ESSEC participates to its governance, in particular through the strategic board.

Corporate Partnerships

Anticipate the challenges of the future together
The spirit of openness and sharing is an inherent feature of the School’s relations with companies, institutions, and long-time ESSEC partners, which all play an essential role in the School’s development. Throughout the year, ESSEC enables companies to meet its students, as well as its alumni, to offer them recruitment opportunities. Our partner companies and institutions are also invited to contribute to research and learning – for example, through the creation of Chairs.
