Post Doctoral Fellowship in Political Economy at Yale

The Leitner Program in International and Comparative Political Economy at Yale invites applications for a post-doctoral position for AY 2018-2019. Candidates must have a robust research program in political economy, broadly construed, and must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of appointment.

The post-doctoral fellow will teach one course during the year, either in the Fall or the Spring semester, pursue his/her own research, and participate in the activities of the Leitner program. Fellows are expected to be in residence from August 2018 to May 2019.

We will begin accepting applications immediately with review beginning on Friday, December 15, 2017 and continuing until the selections are final.

Yale University is an equal opportunity employer. Applications from women, members of minority groups, protected veterans, and persons with disabilities are particularly encouraged.

Compensation is competitive, and includes benefits and health coverage. We expect to be able to cover a junior scholar’s salary for the full academic year and up to half of a senior scholar’s salary. Senior scholars who will be taking leave from their home institution to accept the fellowship should indicate salary requirements and whether they expect to receive salary support from their university or outside sources.

To apply, send a cover letter, CV, research statement and a draft of a syllabus of a course you propose to teach at Yale. You’ll also need to have three letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf.
