Who should apply
This year RMIT is focused on recruiting Senior Research Fellows and Research Fellows whose experience and expertise align with one of RMIT’s 8 Enabling Capability Platforms:
RMIT is committed to driving progress towards gender equality and ensuring diverse and balanced representation at every level of our organisation. To address the under representation of women in Science and Engineering, the Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow recruitment for Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication; Advanced Materials; and Information and Systems (Engineering) will be open to only female applicants. The Section 12 of the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act permits the University to conduct female only recruitment to addressing the substantive imbalance of female representation in Science and Engineering.
- Advanced Manufacturing and Fabrication (female only recruitment)
- Advanced Materials (female only recruitment)
- Information and Systems (Engineering) (female only recruitment)
- Biomedical and Health Innovation
- Design and Creative Practice
- Global Business Innovation
- Social Change
- Urban Futures
Working within these areas, Senior Research Fellows and Research Fellows will make significant contributions to RMIT’s research priorities by developing and engaging in high-quality, high impact research projects, which address local, national, regional and global challenges.
Fellows will also be expected to attract external research funding including competitive grants from both national and international sources, and produce high quality outputs. They may also undertake limited teaching duties linked to their active research projects, to promote student engagement and further embed research activity in teaching.
