VISITING FELLOW RESEARCH STAYS at the AxPo Observatory of Market Society Polarization at Sciences Po
Application deadline: May 15, 2024
Applications are open now for research stays planned in the 2024-2025 and the 2025-2026 academic years.
The AxPo Observatory of Market Society Polarization at Sciences Po is welcoming applications from senior academics for research stays of approximately 1-2 months at Sciences Po in the heart of Paris. Visitors will work in close cooperation with the affiliated research centers, the Center for European Studies and Comparative Politics (CEE), the Center for the Sociology of Organizations (CSO), the Center for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS), the Center for Political Research (CEVIPOF), and the Department of Economics. We encourage researchers with projects in sociology, political science, economics, history or related fields to apply.
We are especially interested in research topics that align with AxPo’s research focus on socio-economic and socio-political polarization, exploring the challenges of such polarization for markets, social cohesion and equality, and political institutions.
The visiting scholars program offers desk space and a stipend to help offset the short-term cost of living in Paris. Applicants must have their own additional funding to cover other expenses. Visiting fellows will present their work in a research seminar series and are expected to make themselves available for discussion with early career researchers, including the AxPo postdoctoral researchers.
PhD students may also apply to visit AxPo, but AxPo is unable to provide funding for visiting doctoral researchers.
Please submit in one single PDF document: 1) a cover letter; 2) CV; and 3) a short description (1-2 pages) of your research project by the deadline of May 15, 2024 via the Google form at the following link:

Applicants should specify the desired timeframe of their visit, and whether in the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 academic year.
The form will require you to connect via your Google Drive space. For management purposes, we strongly recommend applying via the Google Form. However, if you are unable to do that, you may exceptionally send your application to allison.rovny@sciencespo.fr. Made possible with generous support from the AXA Research Fund.
