Yale Early American History Seminar (YEAH)

The Yale Early American History Seminar (or YEAH) brings together graduate students and faculty interested in early America to discuss current and emerging scholarship and further enhance our own work as historians and teachers of the period. Our meetings are also open to anyone interested in early American history.

We host student and faculty presentations of works-in-progress, present panel discussions of ideas and issues important to the study of early America, invite outside scholars to lecture on their research or on current developments in the field, explore means to enrich our teaching of early America, foster interdisciplinary approaches to early American scholarship, and encourage use of Yale’s extensive collections of early American materials.
