UNIFOR

UNIFOR is a non-profit organization founded in 1993 by the University of Oslo.

UNIFOR offers a comprehensive service that includes asset management, business administration and accounting, as well as the processing of applications and distribution of funds on behalf of foundations.

We manage NOK 2.3 billion for more than 200 charitable foundations, primarily within research and higher education. The majority of the foundations are affiliated with UiO, NTNU, NMBU, the Academy of Music, and the Norwegian Academy of Sciences.

UNIFOR has a lean administration and low-cost levels. In order to achieve this, we make extensive use of electronic communications, cloud-based solutions and economies of scale in administration, auditing and board management. The fee paid by participating foundations goes solely to cover UNIFOR’s administrative costs.

Application processing

We assist the individual foundation’s board to achieve its purposes in the best possible way, whether through direct allocations of funds or payments to successful applicants.

Through our electronic application portal, we provide a safe and efficient application process, payments and reports on the use of allocated funds. The application process is easy to use for both applicants and those assessing the applications.
