HKU Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Education

We now invite applications for the captioned post that involves work for an Education Bureau (EDB) project on parent-teacher associations in primary/secondary schools in Hong Kong.
Duties and Responsibilities
- conduct surveys and focus group interviews, and analyze data collected
- handle the administrative work and logistics, including liaising with project schools and teachers, arranging school visits and interviews, organising meetings, and monitoring the progress of the project
- conduct seminars to disseminate findings from the project
- help with report writing
- perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- a doctoral degree
- highest academic qualification preferably in education or related disciplines
- an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese (including spoken Cantonese) and English
- quantitative research skills (including in survey development and multilevel data analysis) and/or qualitative research skills (including in developing interview schedule and using thematic analysis) – please indicate clearly skill sets possessed in application
- ability to work independently
- experience in project coordination / working with schools is preferred, but not essential
- good computer skills in infographics

The appointment will commence in May 2025 and last until end of June 2026.
