Postdoctoral Researcher in Applied Cognitive Psychology
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a position in Applied Cognitive Psychology, to begin on October 1, 2026: Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d, salary grade A13)
The position is initially offered for three years, with the possibility of a three-year extension.
Your responsibilities
- Teaching (4 contact hours per week) in the areas of knowledge, communication, and media psychology
- Contributing to examinations, supervising student theses, and participating in administrative duties
- Conducting independent research aligned with the group’s research focus
Your profile
- An excellent PhD in psychology, cognitive science, or a related discipline
- Strong background in experimental research
- A clear research interest in applied cognitive psychology, particularly in areas such as:
- Cognitive processing of politicized or controversial information
- Narrative comprehension
- Human–AI interaction
