Academia Sinica Postdoctoral Fellows Program in Taiwan
The Postdoctoral Scholar Program is for Applicants with Ph.D. degrees conferred within the last five years.
There are two types of postdoctoral scholars and are decided by the Review Committee: Academia Sinica Postdoctoral Scholars (Distinguished) and Regular Postdoctoral Scholars.
Both are full-time research positions. Initial appointments are for 2-year term annual contracts, renewable based on satisfactory performance review and funding availability. Academia Sinica Postdoctoral Scholars (Distinguished) Awardees will receive a research grant of up to NT$500,000 per year during the appointment.
MATERIALS TO BE SUBMITTED
Application materials and credentials must be submitted online, including letter of agreement from the Sponsoring Mentor, copy of diploma, full curriculum vitae, research plan, reprints of publications, and 2-3 letters of recommendation.

I. Applicants must contact Sponsoring Mentors first.
There are 32 institutes and research centers at Academia Sinica for the following three divisions: Visit the following websites in your field of interest to identify potential Sponsoring Mentors whose research team you would like to join. Write to the prospective Sponsoring Mentors directly to state your interest and intention of application.

Applications for the Postdoctoral Scholar Program are accepted twice a year. For the first round, applications are accepted from August 1 to September 1, which positions starting the following year on January 1. For the second round, applications are accepted form January 15 to March 1, with positions starting on July 1.
