Collective projects

The call asks researchers, practitioners, innovators, municipalities, urban utilities, businesses and other stakeholders dedicated to the development of European urban areas, to join forces and create transnational projects for research and innovation, which by the very nature and commitment of the relevant partners give an example of implementation and demonstration within the field. ENSUF appreciates and encourages collaboration between multiple partners from across Europe, with broad geographical spread where this is of relevance to the research project and its implementation.

The Discovery Projects (DP) grant opportunity is a separate element of the Discovery Program. The DP grant opportunity provides project funding for research conducted by individuals and teams.

The importance of innovation and socio-economic aspects in sustainable urbanisation has been recognised by the EU and China in their Joint Declaration on the EU-China Partnership on Urbanisation signed in 2012, as well as in the conclusions of the EU-China Innovation Cooperation Dialogue of 2013. The FMSH is pleased to publish the third call of its grant program in digital humanities. Thanks to a generous grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, FMSH will co-finance transatlantic collaborative projects in the field of the digital humanities.
