Collective projects

The dismantling of nuclear facilities represents a global challenge. In France, it will generate huge amounts of radioactive wastes. The volume reduction, and more generally the management optimization, is a state priority given to the national agency for the management of radioactive wastes (Andra). To respond to those challenges, Andra focuses on four development axis: the deployment of high-performance industrial equipments, the introduction of services and advices ahead of dismantling strategies, the public expertise and the Research and Development.

Existing and rising inequalities pose fundamental challenges to European societies and economies. The increasing gap between rich and poor, exacerbated by the recent financial and economic crises, is a key concern. The sources of inequalities in contemporary societies are complex and highly intertwined and they and their consequences can only be understoodby comprehensive research activities.

The funding initiative aims to promote the exploration of research ideas of groundbreaking originality in the humanities and cultural studies.

The call asks researchers, practitioners, innovators, municipalities, urban utilities, businesses and other stakeholders dedicated to the development of European urban areas, to join forces and create transnational projects for research and innovation, which by the very nature and commitment of the relevant partners give an example of implementation and demonstration within the field. ENSUF appreciates and encourages collaboration between multiple partners from across Europe, with broad geographical spread where this is of relevance to the research project and its implementation.
