The French National Research Agency (ANR) opens a Franco-German call for proposals on future security in urban areas within the framework of a collaboration with German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
To make all transport modes safer (roads, rail, waterborne and aviation), an increased understanding is needed of the behaviour of individual users (in this case drivers, riders, pilots, cyclists, pedestrians and other transport users), and of their interaction with their associated safety-related systems and services (such as on-board technologies, mobile devices and infrastructure).
The Thematic Research Program is intended to encourage researchers to engage in cooperative research programs designed to address intellectual or social issues of broader context and scope than possible with individually initiated and conducted research projects.
The dismantling of nuclear facilities represents a global challenge. In France, it will generate huge amounts of radioactive wastes. The volume reduction, and more generally the management optimization, is a state priority given to the national agency for the management of radioactive wastes (Andra). To respond to those challenges, Andra focuses on four development axis: the deployment of high-performance industrial equipments, the introduction of services and advices ahead of dismantling strategies, the public expertise and the Research and Development.
