This scheme provides funding for early-career researchers from any discipline who are ready to develop their research identity. Through innovative projects, they will deliver shifts in understanding related to human life, health and wellbeing. By the end of the award, they will be ready to lead their own independent research programme.
Lead applicant career stage: Early-career researcher
The primary goals of the Alliance Call for Trilateral Initiatives in Emerging Regions (T.I.E.R) are to promote academic cooperation with out-of-the-network research and education institutions in other continents, in support of capacity building.
The initiative encourages projects of all disciplines aimed at innovative regional immersion/integration including, among others, citizenship and urban studies, management of natural resources, public health, statistical capacity or data analysis.
We are updating our Research Proposal application process to focus on improving our participant recruitment processes.
Therefore, we will not be soliciting research pre-proposals/proposals at this time. We will launch a rolling proposal structure in the future, most likely for new field research projects to begin in 2027.
The Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes invites proposals for Global Humanities Institutes to take place in 2025. The deadline is December 15, 2023. With generous support from the Mellon Foundation, we expect to fund up to two institutes at the level of $200,000 each.
