With this joint call, the Novo Nordisk Foundation (Denmark), Wellcome (UK) and the Volkswagen Foundation are funding multi-perspective research into the interactions between mobility and health. How do they influence the general health, various health determinants and the well-being of local and mobile populations? Which novel methods and approaches can be used to address the effects of mobility in a sustainable way? Funding is available for research that crosses disciplinary and geographical boundaries and involves non-academic stakeholders.

Once a year we award Seed Grants for the development or implementation of participatory Citizen Science projects. Teams of academic researchers from the University of Zurich and citizens can apply for up to 40'000 CHF.
The Dieter Schwarz Courageous Research Grant is funded by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation to promote bold project ideas. This will give leading international talents in global competition the opportunity to collaborate with TUM in conducting promising "High Risk - High Gain" research projects.

TORCH (The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities) supports research activity that transcends disciplinary and institutional boundaries. The TORCH Network Scheme is designed to enable researchers from different disciplines to collaborate in creating multi- or interdisciplinary research networks around a topic or theme of their choice. TORCH facilitates the successful networks through administrative support, venues and room bookings, a web presence and publicity including social media.
Up to eight prizes will be awarded under this work programme of a value of EUR 10 000 each.
With the ERC Public Engagement with Research Award, the ERC wishes to reward outstanding science communicators among its Principal Investigators who successfully engage audiences outside their domain with ERC-funded research. The purpose of award is also to recognise good practice in science communication and to encourage more ERC grantees to develop public engagement activities.
