Postdoctoral Positions at the MPIfG

The MPIfG usually advertises two two-year positions for postdoctoral researchers each year in October, generally to begin on September 1 or October 1 of the following year.

Berger-Howe Legal History Fellowship at Harvard Law School

Harvard Law School invites applications for the Berger-Howe Fellowship for the academic year 2020-2021. Eligible applicants include those who have a first law degree, who have completed the required coursework for a doctorate, or who have recently been awarded a doctoral degree. A J.D. is preferred, but not required. The purpose of the fellowship is to enable the fellow to complete a major piece of writing in the field of legal history, broadly defined. There are no limitations as to geographical area or time period.

Lady Davis Fellowship Trust Post-doctoral Fellowships at Hebrew University

The Lady Davis Fellowship Trust was established 46 years ago in 1973 to provide an opportunity for Visiting Professors, Post-Doctoral Researchers and Doctoral Students from abroad, regardless of nationality, gender or field of scholarship to teach, study and participate in research in Israel at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and at the Technion Institute of Technology in Haifa. 

The Lady Davis Trust offers two different Fellowships:

Bank of Montreal Visiting Scholarship in Women's Studies at the University of Ottawa

The Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies at the University of Ottawa is inviting applications for its Bank of Montreal Visiting Scholar in Women's Studies for 2020-2021. The purpose of this fund is to attract highly qualified researchers working on feminist, women's and gender issues, broadly defined. The Visiting Scholar's stay should be from three (3) to six (6) months within the university's academic year, from September to April. The recipient will receive a maximum of $8,000, which may be used to supplement research and/or travel expenses.

HURI Research Fellowships in Ukrainian Studies

The HURI Research Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies supports significant, innovative research on topics pertaining to Ukraine. This fellowship is designed to bring scholars to Harvard University for one academic term (4 months) of focused, independent research. Fellows enjoy access to Harvard's vast research resources and vibrant intellectual environment.

Hillary Clinton Center for Women’s Empowerment Scholar-in-Residence Program

In 2014, the Hillary Clinton Center (HCC) began a scholar-in-residence program that invites internationally recognized scholars who work on gender issues in North Africa to conduct their research ,while in-residence on the idyllic campus of Al Akhawayn University.

The program now also offers opportunities to emerging scholars.
