Postdoctoral research fellow at ZMO

Leibniz-Zentrum Moderner Orient (ZMO), Berlin, invites applications for a postdoctoral research position with a 2,5-year contract, starting 1 December 2020. The successful candidate will be part of the project Religion, Morality and Boko in West Africa: Students Training for a Good Life ('Remo- boko'). The project is funded by the Leibniz Association and ZMO through May 2023. It is led by Abdoulaye Sounaye (principal investigator) and comprises three doctoral students and one postdoctoral position.

Visiting Fellowship in History of science, technology and medicine

A Visiting Fellowship is offered each year in Trinity Term (8 weeks from 23rd April to 17th June with a possible extension to the full three months) at the Maison Française in the History of Science, Medicine and Technology.

Applications for 2026 should be sent before 15th June 2025 to the History of Science Committee for the Maison Française d’Oxford (secretary@mfo.ac.uk). The application includes a research proposal – maximum 1000 words – and a short CV in English (no more than one-page).
